Voice of Liberia FM 90.7 has welcomed Obed Gibah, hours after the journalist announced his decision to part ways with Joy FM 101.5 in Monrovia.

In a release issued today, September 18, Voice of Liberia management announced that Gibah joined the station at its Head of Programs.

“The Management of Voice of Liberia is pleased to welcome on board Mr. Obed Gibah. Mr. Gibah joins the team as Head of Programs at VOL. Please join us welcome him to this big family,” VOL management said.

Gibah served as Broadcast Director for Joy FM and presenter of the station’s breakfast show, Let’s Talk Liberia. He announced his resignation hours before being announced as a new staff of Voice of Liberia. He said he resigned because of an “adjustment in content”.

In a Facebook post, the journalist said he has received several offers, following his decision to leave Joy FM, but has opted to join the Voice of Liberia.

“I can definitively confirm to you, that it is my New Home!” he wrote.

It is not yet confirmed if the journalist will join now take over as presenter of the Voice of Liberia’s breakfast show, Good Morning Liberia, or join the station’s CEO, Sekou Sheriff as co-presenter.
