Three Congolese radio journalists stripped, beaten by intelligence agents
29 May 2022 Authorities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo must hold to account those responsible for stripping and beating journalists Cédar Sabiti, Samuel Matela, and Junior Batu Ngole while they were detained, and ensure that the press can report and comment on matters of public interest freely and without fear of reprisal, the Committee to Protect Journalists said Wednesday.

18 February 2022 The journalist, Evariste Djaï-Loramadji, provided his Christian community radio station, Radio Lotiko, with a brief live report at 4:39 p.m. on 9 February, in which he said people were “fleeing into the bush” in a confused situation in his village, Sandana, located 600 km southeast of the capital, N’djamena. That was his last report for the radio station.
