Ifrikya FM, a new radio station that will broadcast its programs to all African countries, has been launched in Algeria.
The station was launched in May, on World Press Freedom Day, in the presence of members of the government and directors of media establishments.
The Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani, indicated that the radio station “will cover Africa-related issues in all spheres of life”.
For his part, the director of Ifrikya FM, Mohamed Sayem affirmed that the station will be the voice of Africa par excellence”. This new radio station is made up of “a staff of young journalists from different African nationalities, a network of correspondents in nine African countries, and programs broadcast in five languages, namely Arabic, French, Targui, Hausa, and Bambara,” he said.
