Internews in Liberia, through the USAID/Liberia Media Activity, has concluded a two-day digital readiness training workshop for ten partner community radio stations.
The workshop was facilitated by social media and IT specialist, Sammy Ross Vaye; Multimedia Content Producer, Joseph F. Doe, and senior advisor, Jefferson Togbah Massah.
Participants were equipped with essential skills for navigating the digital world effectively, including social media management, content creation, mitigating cyber threats using best practices and tools, mobile photo & video production, and introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI).
To ensure that partner community radio stations utilize the new skills acquired during the training, Internews provided each participating station with a brand new Tecno Spark-20 android phone.
Internews Chief of Party, Lien Bach encouraged participants to practice their skills and share the knowledge with colleagues, at their various radio stations.
Internews said its technical team will track the digital growth of each station, to ensure the gadgets offered are used more efficiently.
