Press Union of Liberia’s 2019-2020 Best Newscaster of the year award winner, Zoquay Beysolow Konneh has been awarded Best Newscaster of the year, for the national broadcaster, ELBC.
Zoquay was presented the award at the fourth annual award event of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), held at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex, in Monrovia.
For the period 2019-2020, Zoquay was also recognized as the Best News Caster of the year, by the Press Union of Liberia.
She praised the management of LBS for the recognition and hailed her fans and followers for the outpouring of congratulatory messages extended to her, following the award.
“For all your comments, calls, messages and social media posts, I have come to say thank you,” she wrote on social media.
She also added, “This award is dedicated to God Almighty for his many blessings, my family, fans, friends and colleagues of the most powerful ELBC newsroom.”
She was among several other radio personalities who received recognition. They included Anthony Williams, as Outstanding News department staff of the year; Vasta Jenaweh Tarlu, best and most outstanding Intern of the year; Grand Gedeh correspondent, Paul Rancy as the most outstanding correspondent of the year, and reporter, G. Naway Gumeh as LBS rising Star of the year.
