A new way to share and strengthen on-demand audio at #RDE26 Podcast Day summit

This year, the Podcast Summit at Radiodays Europe will feature a new way to share and strengthen your on-demand audio offering. You’ll have the opportunity to tackle real challenges you’re facing at your organisations, through structured group problem-solving. No speakers and no stage at this summit! You’ll be guided through workshops to take full advantage of the “wisdom of the crowd”. There will be a group of expert facilitators in different topics (talent, marketing, video, etc.) who will lead small discussion circles. Join in if you’d like to participate in building actionable solutions, and share experiences with the smartest minds in audio (including yours!) to unstick challenges we’re facing as an industry.

The session is produced by Sarah Toporoff of Headliner and Arielle Nissenblatt US Audily, Ear Buds.

It will be followed by the main programme sessions:

Who’s buying listeners? Podcast marketing strategies demystified

Speakers: Arielle Nissenblatt Audily, Ear Buds, Hannah Southern Podcast Discovery, Nawal Hadrimi Calliopé Studio

Moderator: Sarah Toporoff, Headliner

You’ve found the perfect story, hosts, sound design, your episodes are published, congrats! Now the (real) work begins of getting your show in front of the right audiences. What kinds of marketing campaigns work for which shows? How can you cut through the noise and find your show’s next cohort of super fans? What kind of media buying should you use and what results can I expect? How much should I be paying for guaranteed downloads, and how do I know if they’re real? Branded and community-driven podcasts are leading the way for testing audience development and marketing techniques. Join this session for real case studies to show you what works and what doesn’t.

Where’s the money in podcasting?

Speakers:  Norma Jean Belenky Independent Consultant, PodBiz, Leane Alie Independent Consultant, The Artists Partnership, Arthur Soria Lacmé

Moderator: Sarah Toporoff, Headliner

How can you build a show, network, or studio that financially sustains itself? What are the new ways creators are diversifying their revenue streams? How can community bring value? Is programmatic dead? Was programmatic ever really viable? How are creators innovating in (non-English) markets that have been historically underserved by traditional podcast monetisation? Join us for tips and hacks from those who have tested and proven which revenue sources really work.

Conflict journalism: How podcasts can break through the noise

The world is entering into a new era where the security landscape has been radically altered –with year-long wars raging in Europe and the Middle East, new unrest in Venezuela and threats on Taiwan. How can journalists help audiences engage and understand the news, instead of just switching off, when worldwide chaos is the norm? Podcasting is a powerful storytelling device to connect audiences with the real people beyond the headlines.
Adélie Pojzman-Pontay is a journalist and producer for “Ukraine: The Latest”, a podcast from The Telegraph which has been a daily news show since the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Since 2025, the show has also been available in Ukrainian and Russian, widening the show’s reach to those most directly affected by the events the team is reporting on.
Guilhem Delteil has been reporting on the Middle East for ten years, first as a Jerusalem correspondent, and now as a senior reporter at the Middle East desk of Radio France International. His podcast “Palestiniens” recounts lives of individuals affected by the conflict in Gaza through the lens of the various administrative statuses held by Palestinians, depending on where they live. Poignant and resonant, the show has now been adapted to examine other identities and groups of people through the administrative documents that attempt to define them. The latest season of “Cartes d’identités” speaks to Israelis.

Sarah works at the intersection of audio, journalism, and tech. As an independent consultant, she develops strategies for newsrooms and product teams to grow podcast audiences and revenue. She has been a member of the editorial committee Radiodays Europe since 2019, and joined the executive board of PPF (formerly Paris Podcast Festival) as VP of International in 2025. She has also been a speaker/moderator at Podcast Show London, EBU Digital Radio Summit, Paris Radio Show, Code for All Global Summit.

Radiodays Europe 2026 will take place at Riga, Latvia from March 22 to 24. There is still time for you to register. For our special extra readers discount, use the discount code RTDA26RIG at the payment page and receive a further price reduction.
