ALICOR distributes smartphones to community radio stations

At least eight community radio stations across Liberia have benefited from the donation of high-quality smartphones donated by the Association of Liberia Community Radio (ALICOR).

The beneficiaries are partner stations that are airing radio production content under the SIDA radio content syndication project.

The phones are intended to enhance the work of the station thus leading to the efficiency and effectiveness of these stations.

The high-quality Android phones will serve as the media through which various partner stations across the country will send news items to the National Information Dissemination Center (NIDC) for repackaging, redistribution, and subsequent airing.

The first batch of stations that benefited from the donation included, Voice of Gbarpolu, Radio Nimba 99.5, Grand Cess Radio 94.9, Smile Radio 98.6Fm, Echo Radio, Voice of Sinoe, Radio Gee, Radio Phoenix 102.7Mhz.

Meanwhile, additional 22 partner stations are expected to benefit from pending donations.
