Capital FM starts airing swahili news bulletins

Capital FM Kenya has added Swahili news bulletins to its daily bulletins in a major product diversification venture.

In response to feedback from listeners, the station recently started airing Kiswahili News bulletins and is set to launch more exciting programs from March 1.

In introducing Swahili News Bulletins, we are responding to the feedback from our listeners in ensuring that we serve them better,” said Bernard Momanyi, Editorial Director who assured of increased frequency with more in the coming weeks.

We have received very positive feedback on this initiative, and we will strive to make it better by the day,” he said.

The station’s Programs Director Danny Munyi said the decision forms part of the plan to create a modern, digital-led and streamlined organization that drives the most value from the new frontier platforms and delivers more for audiences and listeners.

The new shows will be broadcast around the world, on live video streaming and on radio bringing Capital FM’s trusted journalism to wider audiences and listeners and providing a huge range and in-depth global, regional, local, business, environmental and legal coverage, which hasn’t previously been available to them,” said Danny.

The new flagship programs are built around high-profile industry leaders, and the programs are commissioned for multiple platforms.
