HOT 102.7FM, a radio based in South Africa has announced a switch to Hot 1027.
The station announced that as part of its switch, it is aiming to change the Johannesburg radio landscape for the better.
The station’s managing director, Lloyd Madurai has put the programming of the station in the hands of its listeners with the launch of a survey that would provide listeners the chance to be heard by the station, as it switches to being Hot 1027.
“We have spent the past six months building a good, solid foundation for the sound of HOT 102.7. But we believe that, with your help, we can make HOT 102.7FM a great station,” says Madurai said.
The managing director challenged the listeners to take the radio’s check-up survey and to make the switch to the new Hot 1027.
Madurai says, “I love radio, but most of all I want to lead a radio station that listens to its audience and gives them what they want to hear from their favorite station.”
The radio check-up is a survey of what listeners really think about the radio stations. The online survey will run for a period of eight weeks and comprises questions about music preferences, programming content, favorite presenters, charity initiatives, and the listeners’ opinions on how radio can be made better for them.
Individuals have been encouraged to click here to be part of the survey. The stations have indicated that participants stand a chance to win their share of R120 000 should they give their say.
