The former General Manager of Radio Nigeria Peace FM, Hajia Fatima Yusuf, has lauded the dedication and hard work of the station’s staff during her tenure.
Hajia Yusuf, made the commendation during the formal handing-over ceremony to the new Acting General Manager, Abba Mohammed Dikko, following her retirement after three decades of service with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
In her farewell address, she expressed gratitude to God for a successful tenure and the opportunity to serve as the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Peace FM Maiduguri. She also acknowledged the commitment of her team to deliver quality broadcasting services and extended her appreciation to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for his support in developing the station.
The newly appointed Acting General Manager assured staff of an inclusive administration focused on teamwork, professionalism, and dedication to organizational goals. “Collaboration is key to our success,” he emphasized, pledging to prioritize staff welfare, provide training opportunities, and modernize the station’s facilities and equipment.
Dikko, who began his career with FRCN in 2003 as a pioneer staff member of Peace FM, previously served as Head of News and Current Affairs before his latest appointment. His leadership approach promises continuity and growth for the station.
In a vote of thanks, Hauwa Bata, the Head of News, praised the outgoing General Manager for her impactful leadership and contributions to the station’s development. She also welcomed the new Acting General Manager and pledged the staff’s full cooperation and support.
The ceremony marked a new chapter for Radio Nigeria Peace FM, as the station prepares to build on the legacy of Yusuf.
