A young lady from Clermont in Durban who presents the weather on news presented in IsiZulu on SABC 1 at 7pm, says she is living her dream.
Tiny Ntshiza says it was always her desire to be on television as she did Television and Film at school, but the people she says she is most grateful to is her parents who advised her to focus on education and her late brother who was the first to enter this field, and she followed in his footsteps.
In an exclusive interview with the source Isolezwe Online, she said she did her primary in Kwa Dabeka, moved on to Reservoir Hills, and then completed her matric at Musgrave.
“After finishing my studies, I went to live in Johannesburg, I applied for a job at SABC, luckily, they hired me. Before I forget, I have done work directing the red-carpet area at the Simon Mabhunu Sabelo Awards and I also have work at the South African Traditional Awards,” explained Tiny.
She said that at SABC she works as a Vision Mixer, Assistant Production, Autocue and explained that everything the presenter of the program says comes from her. She revealed that she does this on various programs, including Morning Live, Expression, iLungelo Elakho and Kids News. “I really like the work I do,” said Tiny.
She said there was also an ad for someone who wanted to read the weather. “I applied and was accepted, that’s why I am now doing this job,” said Tiny, who joined the SABC in 2016 at the age of 21 and is now 29 years old.
She concluded that she wants to join Ukhozi FM as a broadcaster and also present the weather because she is passionate about it. “The person who made me fall in love with radio is Dudu Khoza, I grew up obsessed with her, and I still love her to death,” said Tiny who said that when she is not busy, she listens to R&B and Gqom’ music.
