Vuma FM VUMA FM part ways with Jacinta Ngobese

VUMA FM has parted ways with Jacinta Ngobese without warning

The popular morning show host of Cruise with Jacinta Ngobese, which airs from 9am to noon on weekdays revealed the heartbreaking news in a statement on Sunday.

On Tuesday, 15 July, I received a letter from my employer terminating my employment contract without any reasons given to me,” Ngobese said.

She said it’s come to her attention that a complaint was brought by an external entity or individual, although she was not ready to share the details of the complaint at this stage.

“I am indelibly appreciative of the opportunity afforded to me by the management of Vuma FM over the past five years,” she said.

Her last day at work is 31 July. She joined the Durban-based radio station in 2019.

“To the listeners you were not only my clients, but we became friends and family, and I will keep you and the memories we shared in my heart forever. Until then, let’s continue making great radio,” she said.

She has been vocal about illegal immigrants in South Africa and is a member of the March and March movement, founded in March 2025.

The organization’s objective is to fight illegal immigration in South Africa and oppose crimes committed by these individuals.

The movement recently staged a protest across Mzansi blocking undocumented foreigners from accessing medication and treatment in public facilities without valid documentation or medical insurance.

She said, “To the March and March Movement let us not be deterred whatever brutality we are subjected to the truth will set us free even in the midst of adversity we still demand the recognition of the rights of the South African citizens.”
