5FM & Good Hope FM cross border and break boundaries for World Radio Day

5FM has announced that it is crossing radio borders and breaking boundaries this World Radio Day, which falls on 13 February. The station has encouraged listeners to tune in all day to catch The Great Radio Takeover.

Kicking off the day, 5 Breakfast linked up with Good hope FM‘s Stan Mars on The Big Breakfast Show from 08:00 to 09:00, and it was purposely a laugh a minute, according to the station.

Stephanie Be on 5 Mid Mornings was handed the baton between 10:00 and 11:00 as she was joined by Krsna Priya Dasa, who hosts Style in the City on Lotus FM.

The 5FM Lunch show then took the reigns as they created radio magic with The Royal Playground on Radio 2000 between 12:00 and 13:00 with David Mashabela.

Driving you home, the 5 Drive team will be catching up with a different Campus station every hour from 15:00 to 18:00, the station noted.

Finally, wrapping up the day, your queen of 5 Nights Karabo will be joined by Sima Fiyo from Tru FM all the way from the Eastern Cape between 20:00 and 21:00, according to 5 FM.

5 FM concludes that in addition to being part of the super cool initiative above, Good Hope FM will also be streaming a steaming hot, topical discussion online and on social media. The topic is ‘A century informing, entertaining and educating’ and it will be streamed at 10:00.
