Uganda’s celebrated media talent Mr. Henrie has officially joined NRG Radio 106.5 FM, marking one of the most high-profile radio transitions of the year. The announcement comes just two weeks after he confirmed his exit from Galaxy FM, where he had built a strong following and cemented his reputation as one of the country’s most dynamic voices.
Real name Henry Arinaitwe, Henrie is widely respected for his authenticity, depth, and unique ability to connect with listeners across demographics. His arrival at NRG Radio signals a powerful step in the station’s mission to shape youth culture and redefine contemporary entertainment on the continent.
With a track record that spans influence, consistency, and impactful storytelling, Mr. Henrie has become a central figure in Uganda’s media landscape, delivering content that informs, engages, and inspires.
Speaking about his move, Mr. Henrie described the transition as a natural evolution of his career and an alignment with a brand that matches his ambitions:
“This for me is about growth. I’ve reached a point where I needed a space that matches my future ambitions, a brand that challenges me to think bigger and connect wider. NRG Radio provides that platform. It’s bold, it’s fresh, and it aligns perfectly with the direction I’m growing into.”
NRG Radio’s Strategy Lead, Julius Kyazze, noted that bringing Mr. Henrie on board reflects the station’s broader vision of defining modern African entertainment and elevating youth-driven culture to the mainstream.
“We’ve always been about shaping youth culture, and now that influence is expanding into the mainstream. What young people are creating, the world is now consuming. NRG’s energy and platforms are defining what modern African entertainment, fashion, and lifestyle look like.
Bringing in talent like Mr. Henrie strengthens our mission to drive culture forward, not just for Uganda, but for a new Africa that’s loud, confident, and globally influential.”
His move is expected to amplify NRG’s reach and deepen its connection with young audiences, reinforcing the station’s position as one of East Africa’s most vibrant and forward-thinking media brands.
