Radio Nigeria, Bronze FM Explores Partnership to promote financial literacy and post-retirement preparedness

Radio Nigeria, Bronze FM, is set to deepen its collaboration with the Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO) Institute to promote financial literacy and post-retirement preparedness among public servants.

The move follows a visit by Professor Gladys Nwokoye, Provost of the LAPO Institute, who highlighted the alarming rate of sudden deaths among retirees in Nigeria. Nwokoye attributed the trend to poor preparation for life after active service and called for intensive, mindset-changing training programs to help civil servants plan better for retirement.

Welcoming the proposal, Comrade Victorson Agbenson, General Manager of Radio Nigeria, Bronze FM, underscored the station’s commitment to using its extensive network, credibility, and skilled personnel to support national development initiatives.

He emphasized that a partnership between Radio Nigeria and LAPO Institute would enable the organizations to jointly promote public awareness on issues such as financial planning, microfinance, business development, and healthy retirement living.

Agbenson reaffirmed the station’s readiness to leverage its platforms to educate and empower Nigerians with the information needed to make informed life and financial decisions before and after retirement.
