Deon Govender will present the Friday evening 19:00 to 22:00 party show. He will be at the late-night weekday slot from 22:00 to 01:00.
Sam Cele, who previously hosted the weeknight 22:00 to 01:00 show, will now host Friday to Sunday, from 22:00 to 02:00.
The station’s South African music focus ‘#PlayLocal’ will be hosted by Mike V who, in addition to his early breakfast show, will host on Sunday evenings from 18:00 to 22:00.
Danny Guselli remains in the weekend 10:00 to 14:00 slot and Gordon Graham will host on Saturdays from 18:00 to 22:00.
ECR’s managing director, Boni Mchunu said she is excited about the changes to the line-up where the station is bringing a mix of experience and exciting new talent.
“I wish the presenters all the best in their new timeslots and look forward to them delivering excellent content and music for our listeners and delivering audience numbers in the months to come,” Mchunu said.
Programming manager Zane Derbyshire said creating a line-up with a broad appeal is important to the ECR strategy, noting it was meant to ensure the offering speaks to the diverse ECR audience.
“I am thrilled that we can create new shows that will deliver on the needs and lifestyles of our audience while creating platforms for our presenters to shine,” Derbyshire said.
