The South African Voiceover Awards (TSVA) team has announced that Wilson B Nkosi, the well-known radio presenter, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 ceremony.
With a career spanning generation, Nkosi has united communities, inspired listeners and redefined storytelling. His passion has made him a South African legend, and the awards plan to celebrate his contributions at TSVA 2025, says the awards.
“We are beyond excited to honour u Bab’ Nkosi, a voice that echoes in the hearts of millions,” says Sinemivuyo Mpulu, President of the TSVA. “This is a moment to celebrate not just a career, but a legacy that continues to inspire. We invite all South Africans to join us for an unforgettable evening.”
Nkosi is best known for his long-running show ‘Sounds and Stuff Like That’ on Metro FM, which he has hosted for over a decade.
He joined Metro FM in 1986 and has hosted various shows, including the morning and afternoon drive-time slots. He is also recognized for his television work, including shows like Sidlalela Intsha and Jam Alley.
The South African Voiceover Awards will take place on Saturday, 4 October in Johannesburg.
